XP Chemistries is a Swedish biotech company with patented technologies for producing high-purity capsaicin from sustainable forest raw materials.

The company's capsaicin is EU-approved as a feed additive for all animal species and forms the foundation of a growing product portfolio of encapsulated and customized capsaicin products for the animal feed market.

EU-approved since 30 September 2025

XP Chemistries capsaicin is now legally approved for use as a feed additive in all 27 EU member states — for all animal species. The approval is the result of several years of regulatory work and a full scientific review by EFSA.

What we do

We produce and market high-purity, nature-identical capsaicin from sustainable forest raw materials — using a patented process that replaces traditional extraction from chili fruits.

Our technology enables standardized, traceable products with a minimum purity of 98 percent, free from pesticides, heavy metals and seasonal variation. This creates the conditions for industrial formulations that chili-based raw materials cannot match.

Capsaicin is used in animal feed to improve animal health and reduce antibiotic use — a growing need on a global scale.
