The XP Chemistry story
XP Chemistries is an innovative biotechnology company that develops and patents novel nature inspired chemical processes for the production of high-quality and sustainable natural chemicals.
The company was founded in 2021 as a spin off company of Organofuel Sweden AB (OFS). OFS was founded and started by four researchers in chemistry and chemical engineering with experience and background from Mid Sweden University, Stockholm University, ETH, MIT, Harvard Medical School and Yale University who discovered and patented new ways of selectively converting biomass to valuable products for different multi-billion-dollar markets.
Mission
We believe in a sustainable world and our mission and vision is to work towards this goal in every aspect of our innovation. We believe that Nature is the ultimate guru therefore our chemistry and scientific approach is directly inspired from Nature. We also use biobased starting materials prompting the chemical process and the final products toward sustainability. Moreover, our mission is to reduce the overuse of antibiotics that promotes the prevalence of multi-antibiotic resistant microbes by providing nonantibiotic natural chemicals and products.
Folklore
The name Xylo Product (XP) Chemistries is derived from the Greek word for wood (Xylo). It highlights our mission and vision, which are to reinvent nature inspired chemistries for the sustainable production of bio-based products and to promote a Greener World for Future Generations.
